Roof Zip Screen

Roof Zip Screen

Roof zip screen system
Roof Zip Screen

The roof zip screen is installed horizontally or at an incline over glass roofs and pergolas; because it blocks the sun before it reaches the glass, the area below remains usable in summer. Zipline Sky-S works at all inclines and can be applied up to 6 metres horizontally and up to 24 m² in a single piece. The zippered edge locks the fabric into the guide; the fabric does not sag and no light gets through at the edges.

System Features
  • Home Automation: Easily adapts to home automation systems.
  • Sun Protection: Blocks heat and glare under the glass roof.
  • Colours: All RAL colours and a rich collection of screen fabrics.
  • Insects and Dust: The zippered edge locks the fabric into the side guide; insect- and dust-proof.
  • Energy Saving: Reduces the cooling load by stopping solar heat outside the glass.
  • Dimensions: Can be applied in a single piece up to 24 m².
How Does It Work?

Sky-S is a zip screen designed for horizontal and inclined roofs. The fabric runs locked by zipper in the side guide profiles on both sides; the spring system in the bottom bar keeps the fabric taut in every position so that it does not sag in the middle. New-generation heavy-duty profiles offer larger spans, renewed connection details and a modern cassette form.

Roof zip screen over a winter garden glass roof

The roof zip screen system is applied over winter gardens, glass roofs, skylights and pergolas in restaurant, café, shopping mall, villa and residential projects. It is operated by remote control or push button; its extra-protected fabric is manufactured to be resistant to impact, water, sun and snow.

System Advantages
  • Smart water drainage: With waterproof fabrics, rainwater drains smoothly through the bottom bar; no water collects on the roof.
  • Flawless aesthetics: A smooth design with no visible screws that conceals all details.
  • Maximum durability: Specially designed heavy-duty profiles with extra resistance to deflection (flexing and bending).
  • Two-way mounting: No need to turn the system over for top-fixed mounting types; the guide profile can be mounted from below or above.
  • Spring tensioning: The springs in the bottom bar keep the fabric taut at every span; there is none of the sagging in the middle seen in systems without springs.
Application Areas
  • Over pergolas: On top of an existing aluminium or timber pergola.
  • As a pergola: As a freestanding canopy with its own posts and beams.
  • Over winter gardens: Outside the glass roof, before the heat reaches the glass.
  • Under winter gardens: Below the glass roof, as an interior blind.
  • Over skylights: For roof windows and skylights.
Fabric and Colour

The system uses Copaco and Serge Ferrari screen fabrics specially designed for outdoor conditions. All aluminium components are suitable for painting in RAL colours and for wood-effect transfer coating. If desired, any image or text suitable for the fabric colour and print quality can be printed onto the fabric.
